A national search is underway to attract an experienced transformational leader who has earned a reputation of being a high-integrity police executive to serve as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of South Miami, Florida.

The Assistant Chief serves as a senior executive leader of the Police Department, reporting directly to the Chief of Police. Tasks and responsibilities associated with this position include planning, directing and administering all departmental operations. Additionally, the Assistant Chief of Police is expected to provide strategic leadership, policy development and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of effective law enforcement services, safety and organizational integrity.
The salary range for this position is between $125,947 and $201,515 (DOQ) and offers an attractive benefits package.
