- Emergency Management Operations Coordinator (Part Time)

JOB SUMMARY
Highly visible part time civilian position responsible for coordinating administrative and emergency response activities. Assists with all functions related to Emergency Management. Position is responsible for general care and coordination of maintenance for designated Emergency Management equipment and vehicles. This position assists with coordinating agency and community resources to allow for greater resilience and better response to natural disasters and law enforcement related critical incidents, to include delivery of specialized equipment to incident scenes, administrative work related to critical incidents, and staffing the agency Situational Awareness Room (SAR) or County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as directed. The incumbent will participate in Emergency Management planning and exercises internal to the organization and with external community partners as required. The incumbent must exercise discretion and independent judgement in performing all job tasks and have the ability to understand and apply knowledge of laws, administrative codes, and regulations and polices relating to all job tasks. Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
Associates degree required. High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the structure and format of coordination of operations, briefings related to catastrophic incidents in law enforcement or similar environment may be considered in lieu of degree. Upon Hire, position requires certifications to include Introduction to the Incident Command System; Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response; An Introduction to the National Incident Management System and An Introduction to the National Response Framework. Additionally, within one year of hire position requires; IS- 230 Fundamentals of Emergency Management; IS 120 An Introduction to Exercises; and IS-235 Emergency Planning. This position must maintain a Valid Florida Driver’s License at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
