Inspira Health, the region’s leading network of healthcare providers, is seeking a Full-Time SCTU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Specialized Care Transport Unit team in Mullica Hill, NJ. In this role, you will provide advanced, age-appropriate critical care during intra-facility transports and EMS system responses, supporting patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. This is a night-shift position (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) that includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly rate of $45.58 - $60.35 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Provide age-appropriate nursing care across the lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Deliver critical care during intra-facility transports, including ventilator management, intra-aortic balloon pump support, and administration of multiple IV medications
Operate and manage advanced medical devices, therapeutic interventions, and life-support equipment during patient transport
Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions as required within the EMS system
Respond to patients experiencing sudden illness or injury and provide mutual aid support to EMS agencies and transferring hospitals
Collaborate with MICNs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality transport care
Accurately assess patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and adjust care based on age-specific and clinical needs
Maintain effective communication with medical professionals, regulatory agencies, and transport stakeholders
Utilize healthcare technology, EHR systems, and communication tools to support efficient SCTU operations
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Nursing required; must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of nursing, with graduation by the third anniversary of hire
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required in critical care transport, prehospital BLS/ALS, critical care, or emergency department nursing
Current RN license required; CEN and/or CCRN certification preferred
Must possess RN-EMT or be eligible within 100-day probationary period, or hold Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification per N.J.A.C. 8:41
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Care for Prehospital Provider – Advanced (PEPP-A) required; Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) required within probationary period for MICN certification
Valid driver’s license required; Coaching Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) and Incident Command certifications (100/200/700/800) required within 100-day probationary period
