Description
JOB SUMMARY
Highly responsible civilian position requiring administrative and operational support to the agency. Member serves as liaison between the Executive Director of Budget and/or the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and agency departments to provide reporting and compliance relative to aligning expenditures to approved budget items. Member works in conjunction with the budget process to allow for needed visibility of budget appropriations to conduct initial review of purchase requests prior to going through the approval process. Member may also submit recommendations for process improvement to ensure financial accountability of budgeted taxpayer dollars. EOE/ADA
NOTE
It is understood that every incidental duty connected with operations enumerated in job descriptions are not always specifically described and personnel, at the discretion of the Sheriff's Office may be required to perform duties not within their job descriptions. This position is not eligible for an assigned agency vehicle.

Veteran’s preference is given to qualified applicants in accordance with section 295.07, F.S. Preference-eligible applicants claiming Veteran’s Preference, will be required to submit supporting documentation. This position is eligible for a waiver of postsecondary educational requirements.
Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
Associates degree from accredited college and a minimum of 2 years job related experience is required. High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years job related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Government experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Must be proficient in Excel. Must maintain valid Florida Driver’s License at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The physical abilities listed below are estimates of time spent during a typical workday to perform essential functions and responsibilities. Members in this position may be required to:
- Sit up to 7 hours per day
- Stand up to 1 hour per day
- Walk up to 1 hour per day
- Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Occasionally bend, squat, reach, kneel or twist
Other Requirements:
- 20/40 vision (corrected/uncorrected)
- Ability to hear conversation at a normal level (assisted or unassisted)
