- GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS) ANALYST
Description
Highly skilled, detail oriented, self-starting, and responsible professional who combines Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and technical skills to support a mission critical public safety system in a fast-paced environment. Technical work requiring advanced skills in receiving, relaying, analyzing and processing accurate information. Also performs advanced technical work preparing maps of geographical areas showing natural/constructed features and related specifications. An employee assigned to this classification analyzes source data, contour maps, and related geographic information system materials and requires technical mastery of GIS techniques and principles. Requirements
To submit an application:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current, valid Florida driver license
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with major course work in geographic information systems, computer science, and/or information technology preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience in GIS work preferred
- Working knowledge of Crystal Reports desired
- Any combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully manage the GIS responsibilities and assist with the CAD functions
- GISP GIS Professional certification desired
- Be of good moral character, have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral character, perjury or false statements
- No tattoos that depict violence, gang affiliation, illegal substance or activities
