Description
JOB SUMMARY
Install, remove, configure, and document maintenance on computers, tablets, smartphones, scanners, copiers, and printers with minimal supervisory input. Provide elevated technical support to agency personnel via the service desk, telephone, remote, or on-site assistance. Independently answer service desk tickets, coordinate with outside vendors repairing agency equipment under warranty, and maintain up-to-date accurate records for inventory and repair/maintenance work performed within the agency. Complete onsite hardware deployments and installations as well as perform preventive maintenance inspections on agency technology equipment. Ability to resolve all common incidents and most other incidents as they affect PSO users with minimal input. Escalate issues to supervisors and senior level support when appropriate. EOE/ADAEOE/ADA
NOTE
It is understood that every incidental duty connected with operations enumerated in job descriptions are not always specifically described and personnel, at the discretion of the Sheriff's Office may be required to perform duties not within their job descriptions. This position is not eligible for an assigned agency vehicle.

Veteran’s preference is given to qualified applicants in accordance with section 295.07, F.S. Preference-eligible applicants claiming Veteran’s Preference, will be required to submit supporting documentation. Waiver of postsecondary educational requirements is not applicable for this position.
Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
High School diploma and a minimum of one year of relevant IT experience required. AA/AS in related field preferred. IT Tech + Certification, or certifications at manager’s discretion based on agency need must be obtained within twelve months of hire or appointment. Valid Florida Driver's License is required at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required
MINIMUM PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The physical abilities listed below are estimates of time spent during a typical workday to perform essential functions and responsibilities. Members in this position may be required to:
- Sit up to 7 hours per day.
- Stand up to 1 hour per day.
- Walk up to 1 hour per day.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally bend, squat, reach, kneel or twist.
Other Requirements:
- 20/40 vision (corrected/uncorrected).
- Ability to hear conversation at a normal level (assisted or unassisted).
- Ability to work shift work.
- Ability to work in hazardous conditions.
