- Records Technician II
Description
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Records Technician II to join our Records Division team. In this role, you will serve as a valuable resource to deputies by assisting with the creation, transcription, and processing of law enforcement reports. Working in a telephone reporting environment, you will transcribe reports through live dictation, research information, assist with report classifications and criminal violations, and help ensure reports are accurately completed and routed to the appropriate agencies. Your work plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of agency records and supporting the investigative process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are equally important. They possess strong listening, communication, and data entry skills and can effectively multitask while managing competing priorities. Individuals who enjoy problem-solving, supporting others, and working behind the scenes to help ensure the success of law enforcement operations will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with deputies and other criminal justice professionals while contributing to the accurate documentation and reporting that supports public safety and the Sheriff's Office mission every day.
This position is scheduled for 8 hours, 5 days a week, with 2 consecutive days off. There is a day shift 6:30am - 3:00pm, evening shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm, and an overnight shift 10:30pm - 7:00am. You must be able to accommodate all shifts. This position is subject to a biannual seniority-based bidding process.
Starting pay: $44,583.00
