JOB SUMMARY
This highly technical civilian position is responsible for the accuracy and integrity pertaining to the entry, analyzing and research of PSO FCIC/NCIC entries. The Validations Specialist must also be able to perform the essential functions of a Criminal Process Technician. This includes completing all job functions of validations on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis, confirming the accuracy of all FCIC/NCIC entries against associated reports, and interacting with the public to verify the status of their property. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy and integrity. EOE/ADA
Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
High School Equivalent (Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma) required. Computer, clerical skills, knowledge of printers, fax machines, and telephones required. Knowledge and experience with quality assurance, basic knowledge of FBI and FDLE compliance regulations is preferred. A familiarity with Hot Files, internal and external database is preferred. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Minimum of two years of FCIC/NCIC Hot File experience preferred; experience as a trainer is preferred. Ability to type 35 WPM or greater required. Must maintain Full Access FCIC/NCIC certification and access to DAVID in order to complete job functions. This position must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required
MINIMUM PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The physical abilities listed below are estimates of time spent during a typical workday to perform essential functions and responsibilities. Members in this position may be required to:
Sit up to 7 hours per day
Stand up to 1 hour per day
Walk up to 1 hour per day
Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Occasionally bend, squat, reach, kneel or twist
Other Requirements:
20/40 vision (corrected/uncorrected)
Ability to hear conversation at a normal level (assisted or unassisted)
Ability to work shift work
